A highlight for me personally was visiting this company. Tobii is a company that desires to give everyone a voice, whether they have the physical capability of hand movement or not. While here we were able to hear the heart of the company from inception (2001) to now as well as get some hands on experience with eye tracking devices and touch-based AAC devices.  One of our students was able to experience what it is like to control a computer with her eyes. How fun is that!?! I AM EXCITED about what these can do for clients!! GO Tobii ...

Later in the day, Melissa and I explored more of Stockholm. First we learned about a ship, newly build in 1628, that sank in Stockholm's harbor. After 333 years it was raised to the surface and restored. It now provides firsthand views of what a 16th century Viking ship would've looked like.  After the Vasa museum we crossed bridge covered with locks (apparently to seal a couple's love for each other) and headed to the other end of the harbor (about .5 mile) to board a boat for a "3 hour tour." Does anyone else have the Gilligan's Isle theme in their head?  Thankfully we returned but not before enjoying a tour of the "inner" Stockholm archipelago. This is a chain of around 30,000 islands that make up Stockholm. If I remember correctly only 150 of those islands are inhabited.  It was beautiful!! We were provided views of Merchant homes, smaller villages, LARGE cruise ships, and old style sailboats. Nearly everyone on these islands has a boat or access to a boat so they can return to Stockholm city for shopping.  I can't imagine what this looks like in the Winter ... Brrr!
